Notice is hereby given that the Brown County Area Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on October 28, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the Brown County Music Center located at 200 Maple Leaf Boulevard The purpose of the meeting is to consider a petition by Mary Ann Soll to allow a Home Stay – Home Occupation Special Exception in the residence of the property owner.

Notice is hereby given to the unknown father of the child named Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell, born on March 8, 2018, and all interested persons related by blood or marriage are notified that a petition for guardianship of the child was filed by Stephen A. Mitchell and Roberta J. Mitchell in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Brown County, Courthouse, P.O. Box 85, Nashville, Indiana 47448.
On December 1, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Circuit Court of Brown County, Indiana, a hearing will be held to determine whether a guardian should be appointed or a protective order should be issued for Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell. The purpose of this proceeding is to protect Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell. A copy of the petition requesting appointment of a guardian or for the issuance of a protective order is available in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Brown County. At the hearing the court will determine whether Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell is an incapacitated person under Indiana law by reason of his minority.
If the Court finds that Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell is an incapacitated person or minor, the Court at the hearing shall also consider whether Stephen A. Mitchell and Roberta J. Mitchell should be appointed as guardians of Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell. The Court may, in its discretion, appoint some other qualified person as guardian. The Court may also, in its discretion, limit the powers and duties of the guardian to allow Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell to retain control over certain property and activities. The Court may also determine whether a protective order should be entered on behalf of Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell.
Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell may attend the hearing and be represented by an attorney. The petition may be heard and determined in the absence of Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell if the Court determines that the presence of Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell is not required. If Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell attends the hearing, opposes the petition, and is not represented by an attorney, the Court may appoint an attorney to represent the alleged incapacitated person or minor. The Court may, where required, appoint a guardian ad litem to represent Ryker Rein Alois Mitchell at the hearing.
The Court may, on its own motion or on request of any interested person, postpone the hearing to another date and time.
If the unknown father or any other interested person related by blood or marriage seeks to connect the guardianship of the child, that person or that person’s attorney must respond to the allegations within 30 days after the last publication of this notice, and if that person fails to do so, judgment by default may be entered against that person for the relief demanded in the petition for guardianship.

Notice of filing and public hearing to amend the 2020 Action Plan

Notice is hereby given that the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) plans to amend its 2020 Action Plan for Housing and to respond to community needs associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. This document concerns programs that are funded through the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development under Title I of the Housing & Community Development Act of 1974 as amended. The amendment amends the Method of Distribution for the HOME Investment Partnerships Program Grant (HOME).

IHCDA will have the 2020 Action Plan Substantial Amendment for the HOME program available for public inspection online at https://www.in.gov/ihcda/4048.htm and will accept public comments between October 16 through October 20, 2020.
To discuss the 2020 Action Plan Substantial Amendment, a virtual public hearing will be held at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on October 19, 2020.
