These law enforcement officers are responsible for keeping the peace, enforcing laws and protecting the commonwealth of Brown County. They’re the first ones you seek out when trouble arises and are there to answer your calls during life-changing moments.
The first police department in the United States was established in 1844, before that laws were enforced by public police forces and watchmen. Modern policing is founded on the principles of courage, empathy, respect and public service. They make important decisions that help uphold the law, prevent crime and bring justice to offenders.
