The Waterfront Program

Water, water all around — and that’s no exaggeration! Canoe overnights, kayak racing, swimming, diving, water polo games, watermelon scrambles, fishing — plus instruction in swimming, life saving and water safety. There’s a big sandy beach and even a great rope swing that goes out over the lake — the perfect way to cool off on a hot summer afternoon.

Adventure Trips

Each summer, Camp Palawopec offers a special co-ed adventure trip program. These expeditions are designed for older campers ages 12 – 16 who want the ultimate challenging outdoor experience. Backpacking in Colorado… canoeing in Minnesota… biking across Montana… or whitewater rafting down some or our country’s wildest raging rivers… these are truly unforgettable adventures! Check out your summer application form for current trips. Sign up early and bring a friend!

The Campfire Program

The final and most impressionable moment of the day will come through participation in the evening campfire program. Gathered around the glowing embers, campers and their counselors will strum guitars, sing old campfire favorites, and share jokes, ghost stories, and skits for the perfect ending to a memorable day.

CYO Camp Rancho Framasa

Nestled in the beautiful hills of Brown County, Indiana, CYO CAMP RANCHO FRAMASA is an entity of the Catholic Youth Organization within the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, Indiana. Since 1946, CYO Camp has served Indiana and the outlying tri-state area of the Ohio valley through its summer camping programs, outdoor education programs, and retreats throughout the year.

With 296 acres of wooded hills and a gorgeous facility, committed staff and unique programs CYO camp is able to touch the lives of those who visit with faith, fun and a sense of wonder.

Our mission is to enhance the emotional and spiritual development of youth and adults through experiences in the outdoors.

CYO Camp Rancho Framasa is proud to employ staff members who are members of the American Camp Association. Developed exclusively for the camp profession, this nationally recognized program focuses on program quality, health and safety issues, and encourages us to review every facet of our operation.

An outstanding camp experience begins with direction and instruction from great camp counselors. Each of our camp leaders have many years of camping experience, and our staff are carefully screened and selected. Staff must meet appropriate qualifications including providing references and passing a background check. They are also required to complete and become certified through the Archdiocese of Indianapolis’ Safe Parish Safe Environment child protection program. CYO Camp meets these stringent standards because we believe having a well-run camp with well-qualified staff is the best way to have fun and keep our campers safe.
