Floyd Allen Smith, 79, of Nashville passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 in Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. He was born April 9, 1945 in Brown County to Donald A. Smith and Monzell Hoover Smith. He was retired from Cummins Engine.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sandra Belcher Smith; a son Robert (Leah) Smith; his granddaughter, Michaela Smith; a brother, Willard Lee Smith; two sisters, Thelma Keller and Treva (Danny) Edwards; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Melissa Ann Smith; four brothers, Donald Edward Smith, Forrest Smith, Fredrick Smith and Robert Eugene Smith; and two sisters, Wilma Wilson and Brenda East.

Floyd was a 1963 graduate of Brown County High School, he was drafted in to the U. S. Army and served in Vietnam. He enjoyed working on his farm, mowing grass and teaching Michaela everything she would need to know.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North with Danny Edwards officiating, entombment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Wednesday prior to services from 12:00 to 1:00 PM also in the funeral home.
