Rotary Club

Larry Pejeau, chief executive officer for the Brown County Community Foundation, will update the Brown County Rotary Club on the foundation’s challenges and opportunities at the club’s 7:15 a.m. Thursday, March 10 breakfast meeting in Nashville’s Artists Colony Inn, 105 S. Van Buren St. The public is welcome.

Pejeau joined BCCF in 2013 and has been leading the foundation in its goal of improving the county’s quality of life through a wide range of grants, scholarships and endowments.

Genealogical society

The Brown County Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the Brown County Public Library. The program will be “Where and who is your brick-wall ancestor?” Visitors are welcome.

The group can help breaking down the “brick wall” of an elusive ancestor. Bring photos, maps and documents to share with group experts.

Meeting days have changed from the second Tuesday to the second Thursday of the month.

Widowed group

The Brown County Widowed Group will meet at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Sycamore Valley Community Center at the fairgrounds. Bring a favorite memento to tell the group about.

Any widowed person is welcome.

The group will sponsor euchre parties at the community center at 1 p.m. Tuesdays, March 22 and April 12.
