Rotary Club

Owen County resident Jackie Schmidt says human trafficking and slavery that involves young women and children is not just an overseas problem. It also occurs in Indiana.

An advocate of ways to address this issue, she will be the speaker at the Thursday, April 21 meeting of the Brown County Rotary Club. It starts at 7:15 a.m. in Nashville’s Artists Colony Inn, 105 S. Van Buren St. The public is welcome.

Nashville Literary Club

The Nashville Literary Club will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 21 at the home of Donna Ormiston. Caren Senesac will lead a discussion of “The All-Girl Filling Station’s Last Reunion” by Fannie Flagg.
