Widowed group

The Brown County Widowed Group will sponsor euchre parties at the Sycamore Valley Community Center, 746 Memorial Drive at the fairgrounds, at 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 25, Nov. 8 and 22.

Genealogy group

Family Histories and Mysteries will have its second meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, in lower-level meeting room B of the Brown County Public Library.

The meeting includes hints on how to identify ancestors, sharing of family stories and things learned about ancestors’ lives, vocations, times and places in which they lived.

Rotary club

The Brown County Rotary Club meets for breakfast at 7:15 a.m. Thursdays in Nashville’s Artists Colony Inn, 105 S. Van Buren St.

Area residents interested in learning more about Rotary are welcome.

Woodworkers club

Brown County Woodworkers Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Joe Watson‘s shop, 6791 S. Hamilton Creek Road.

Beekeeping Spark Club

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, the Brown County Purdue Extension 4-H office, 802 Memorial Drive at the fairgrounds, will conduct a Beekeeping Spark Club workshop.

Participants will look at an observation hive, learn what is in the hive and what a beekeeper does. No equipment is needed.

The cost to participate in the club is $20 per person, but it is free for 4-H members.

Photography club

The Brown County Photography Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Brown County Public Library, 205 N. Locust Lane.

The club is open to anyone interested in photography. Meetings the second Tuesday of each month include photo shares and tech tips. The club also schedules one photography day trip each month and exhibits work in local venues several times each year.

Preservation society

At 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, the Brown County Cemetery Preservation Society will meet in the Howard F. Hughes Community Building, 209 N. Van Buren St.
