Letter: Chocolate Walk committee thankful for cooperation

To the editor:

Once again, Nashville warmly welcomed 1,250 Chocolate Walkers to town Nov. 12 for the ninth annual Brown County Humane Society Chocolate Walk.

We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and spirits were high. Walkers were treated to a wonderful array of treats offered by 35 participating Nashville shops, galleries and restaurants to support our local animal shelter. Several groups of walkers were return participants from surrounding areas and their enthusiasm for this event was heartwarming. Several adoptable dogs were out and about enjoying their day in the sunshine.

The Chocolate Walk Committee would like to thank the 35 participants for their hard work to produce this event. We also thank the following sponsors for their generous support: A&R Storage, Brown County Inn, Curry Auto Center, Jones Law Office, Life is Good, New Leaf, ReMax Team Brown County Property Management, Seward Party Rentals and media sponsor WKKG 101.5.

We also sincerely thank the Brown County Art Gallery for allowing us to kick off this event with the use of their beautiful new gallery space.

Thank you to our over 80 volunteers that make this event possible. Your cheery faces and tireless work are an inspiration to us all.

Lastly, mark your calendars; the 10th BCHS Chocolate Walk will be Nov. 11, 2017.

Thank you all!

Mary Jo Conley, Brown County Humane Society
