HAMBLEN TWP. — Charges have been filed against a Nineveh man after a chemical test showed he was driving under the influence of methamphetamine.

On July 19, Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht pulled over a scooter driven by Ethan T. Halcomb, 25, of Sweetwater Trail, in the 9900 block of Spearsville Road for having no registration, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Eggebrecht reported that Halcomb’s eyes were glossy, his manual dexterity was poor and his balance was unsteady. A blood test showed Halcomb had methamphetamine in his system, the report said.

He was charged April 17 with operating a vehicle with a Schedule I or II controlled substance or its metabolite in the body, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and possession of paraphernalia, all Class C misdemeanors.
