Greenwood resident arrested on OWI charge

GNAW BONE — A Greenwood man was accused of driving while intoxicated after police stopped him at Forest Hills Apartments for driving left of center three times.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Jackson stopped John W. Brenchley III, 28, at around 11:30 p.m. Jackson reported smelling alcohol on Brenchley, that his eyes were “reddish” and his balance was poor.

A breath test showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.12, over the legal limit of 0.08.

He was charged Aug. 14 with two misdemeanors.
