Letter: In response to ‘horrified’ letter in Oct. 18 paper

To the editor:

What has a rifle (actually a shotgun) to do with a shooting in Las Vegas?

I am a proud Shriner and will sell and purchase shotgun-raffle tickets. I’m pleased to see our donations to the Shriners Hospital to help children.

I will be ecstatic should I win the shotgun. I’ll probably never shoot the shotgun, put it in my trophy case and proudly show and explain why I have this shotgun and what the profit of the raffle will do for children.

This year, the Brown County Shriners had a record year of donations to the Shriners Hospital through its raffles.
