Democrat staff earns awards

The Brown County Democrat design and advertising staffs were recognized for excellence in a statewide contest.

The awards were presented during the Hoosier State Press advertising conference in Indianapolis. Media organizations from around the state that are members of HSPA compete in the annual competition, which recognizes outstanding advertising and marketing campaigns developed by the media organizations for businesses and groups in their areas.

The Democrat, owned by AIM Media Indiana, brought home 11 awards — two first-place, six second-place and three third-place.

Overall, AIM Media Indiana newspapers won 126 awards.
