Man arrested for violating house arrest

A Columbus man was arrested on Nov. 17 after officers say he violated his house arrest conditions for not keeping his monitoring device charged.

In July, Dylan J. Hadley, 24, of Columbus, was sentenced to 90 days on home detention for possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony, and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, in two different cases from 2016 and 2017.

Hadley was given a written warning Nov. 14 by Officer Tom Back for failure to keep his GPS monitor charged. Hadley had let it die on three occasions, according to the press release.

On Nov. 15, Hadley’s monitor was dead from 1:59 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. It was dead from 12:44 a.m. to 4:08 a.m. Nov. 17. The third time was also on Nov. 17 from 10:16 a.m. to when he was placed into custody at 10:44 a.m., the release states.

Hadley was arrested by Officer Terry West and booked into the Brown County jail without incident.
