TOWN NEWS: More volunteers needed for town boards

The Nashville Town Council could not complete its task of appointing people to serve on various boards for 2018 last week because nobody applied for two of them.

The council is seeking applicants willing to serve on the Brown County Animal Control Commission and on the Nashville Tree Board.

Tree board members do not have to be town residents; the animal control commission member who represents the town does have to be a Nashville resident.

Interested parties have until 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16 to complete a letter of interest or fill out the “expression of interest to serve on a board/commission application” posted at townofnashville.org. Either one can be submitted to Town Hall, 200 Commercial St.
