Question candidates for local office this week

The League of Women Voters of Brown County and Brown County Farm Bureau will host one more night of question-and-answer forums featuring contested candidates in the 2018 primary election.

On Wednesday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m., Brown County clerk, Brown Circuit Court judge and Brown County commissioner candidates will answer questions, in that order.

Due to Indiana Code of Judicial Conduct restrictions, the judge candidates will make extended statements but not take questions on a panel.

The commissioners panel will include Republican candidates only, as the League of Women Voters was unable to schedule a panel with Democrats.

The forum will take place in the Salmon Room of the County Office Building, at Gould Street and Locust Lane.

9th Congressional District candidates spoke April 3.

To learn more about the candidates, pick up a free Voter Guide at the forum or at the Brown County Democrat office. Guides also were inserted in the April 4 paper.
