Police respond to three overdoses in one week

Police responded to three overdoses in the county last week. The substances involved are not known at this time.

The first was reported on May 14 in the 200 block of Old State Road 46, just before 3:30 p.m. Nashville Police Chief Ben Seastrom said he could not release information about the drug involved, but that the case had been forwarded to the prosecutor.

A second overdose was reported in the 4000 block of Channel Road at 12:19 a.m. May 16. According to the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, two people were transported to the hospital and the substance involved is unknown at this time.

The last overdose reported in Brown County was in January, and it was fatal. A 35-year-old man overdosed on fentanyl at a home on Hornettown Road.
