Police looking for runaway teen boy

Local police are still searching for a teen who ran away from home on May 30.

Sixteen-year-old Darren Shadoin was reported as a runaway on May 30. The call came from a home on Muskrat Drive at about 10:15 a.m., according to the dispatch log.

On June 7, the Brown County Sheriff’s Department posted on social media asking the public for help in finding Shadoin. The sheriff’s department could not post about the case using Shadoin’s name and photo on social media until a social media release form was signed by his parent/guardian.

Shadoin is a brown-haired, brown-eyed boy, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 165 pounds. He has run away from home in the past, Public Information Officer Josh Stargell said.

Anyone with information on Shadoin’s whereabouts should call the sheriff’s department dispatch at 812-988-6655, ext. 0.

The sheriff’s department has now handled at least 17 runaway reports so far in 2018.
