Halloween season events in Brown County

FALLFARE: Village Green at Jefferson and Main streets, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6. Handmade knitted, quilted and wood items, fine artwork, homemade candy, pies and other baked items, pickles, jams, apples, antiques, live plants, cut and dried flowers, jewelry, hats, scarves, purses, holiday decor and yard sale-type items. Silent auction of art, themed bags and baskets, event and attraction tickets, gift certificates and handmade items. Breakfast and lunch sold at “the Village Cafe” under tents outside. KELP’S FARM FEST: Kelp’s Pumpkin Patch, 6473 State Road 46 East, Gnaw Bone, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 6 and 7. Antique tractors and farm machinery on display; mums, pumpkins, squash, gourds and more for sale; watch sorghum making demonstrations, play games with prizes; enjoy hay rides, face painting and a petting zoo. HIGH SPIRITS: T.C. Steele State Historic Site, 4220 T.C. Steele Road, 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13. Learn about the supernatural during this Halloween-inspired event. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, after-hours tour of Steele’s home House of Singing Winds, magic show by Richard Darshwood.
