A Jasonville woman was injured after she lost control of her vehicle on wet pavement while driving on State Road 135 North.

Lt. Mike Moore with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department reported that Ann White, 56, was southbound on 135 North near Greasy Creek Road when she hit a guardrail just after 10 a.m. Oct. 10.

White was already out of her vehicle when police arrived. She said her Ford F-250 truck slid on the wet road, went left of center and struck a guardrail on the east side of the road. The vehicle then jumped the guardrail and spun around before coming to rest on the guardrail and in a ditch, the report states.

White was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital by ambulance with a broken arm.

While directing traffic at the accident scene, Moore reported seeing several vehicles having trouble with traction on the road. He requested that dispatch call the Indiana Department of Transportation to send a representative to see how slick the chip-and-sealed road was.

White’s vehicle was towed. She was wearing a seat belt.
