Woman charged with dealing meth

Staff Reports

A Brown County woman has been charged with a Level 4 felony after she reportedly sold methamphetamine twice to a confidential informant.

Christina F. Williams, 33, of Sweetwater Trail, sold methamphetamine in May and June to an informant with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, according to a report by Det. Brian Schaeffer with Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

For one of the deals, a child was present, the report said.

The deal in May happened in the 8000 block of Rinnie Seitz Road in Brown County, the report said.

During 2018, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office developed a confidential informant to gather information on narcotics in central Indiana and to conduct controlled purchases. According to that informant, Williams was known to be involved in meth distribution and used social media to sell it.

On May 28, the informant said that meth was available for purchase from Williams. The informant showed a series of text messages between the two of them in which the informant was ordering “two Gs,” or grams.

Williams asked if the informant was “mobile” and said she was in Gnaw Bone on Rinnie Seitz Road. An undercover detective drove the informant to make the deal.

The informant was given $200 and was wired with a video/audio recording device. A surveillance unit also video taped the events from afar, the report said.

The bags that Williams gave the informant tested positive for a Schedule II controlled substance, the report said.

On June 25, a second methamphetamine deal was done in Johnson County with another confidential informant. During that deal, Williams sold the informant 3.39 grams of meth with a minor child present, the report said. A separate warrant was being sought in that jurisdiction.

Williams was charged on Nov. 15 with dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony, for the May deal on Rinnie Seitz.
