An early Saturday morning crash on Greasy Creek Road resulted in two people being transported to the hospital.

Dustin Snyder, 32, of Indianapolis, told police he and his passenger — Jason Shockey, 34, of Indianapolis — were out for a “country cruise” when a deer ran out in front of his vehicle, an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy William Pool states.

Snyder reportedly struck the deer and hit the brakes before running off the road and striking a tree.

Snyder and Shockey both reported having pain after the crash. The two were transported to Johnson Memorial Hospital for a check out.

The vehicle was towed from the scene. Both men were wearing seat belts.
