BROWN COUNTY FAIR: Rides, ribbons and ribeyes

As the sun went down, the Brown County Fairgrounds remained bright in 2019 thanks to carnival rides and food booths serving fun and food until 10 p.m. The fair returns in person this year with all of the bright lights, loud engines and fried foods after missing last year due to the pandemic. Once again, the Brown County Fair delivered a fun-filled week of food, carnival rides, animal shows and grandstand events.

Rain stayed away almost completely — minus a shower or two on Monday night — giving way to evenings with clear skies perfect for eating fair food outside and enjoying entertainment on the midway.

The lines were long for rides on bracelet nights and the grandstands had visitors enjoying various events all week.

See many more photos and fair results in the Brown County Fair Souvenir edition, which will be inserted into the Aug. 28 paper.
