Report: Motorcycle driver loses fingers from crash

BEAN BLOSSOM — A motorcycle driver reportedly lost fingers after he rear-ended a stopped vehicle and was ejected from his bike on Gatesville Road Sept. 5.

Jason Aycock, 36, of Three Notch Road, told police he was riding west on Gatesville Road near the State Road 135 North intersection when he went around a right curve and noticed stopped traffic in the road.

A landscaping company was working near the road, says an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Chad Williams. Aycock said the company had traffic stopped, but had no one flagging traffic to notify drivers ahead of time.

Aycock was unable to stop and ran into the back of a vehicle driven by Sheryl Sutter, 39, of Sprunica Road.

Aycock “had two or three of his fingers cut off due to the accident,” the report said. He was not wearing a helmet. An ambulance took him to a hospital.

Sutter was not injured. She was wearing a seat belt.

Aycock’s 2019 Harley Davidson was towed due to disabling damage.
