Lions club

The Brown County Lions Club meets the third Tuesday of each month at the Seasons Lodge and Conference Center, 560 State Road 46 East, with a dinner meeting at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be Jan. 21.

The Lions board meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Brown County Public Library, 205 Locust Lane. Anyone interested in Lions is invited to attend. The next board meeting will be Jan. 7.

Pioneer Women

The Pioneer Women’s Club meets each Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Brown County History Center, 90 E. Gould St. Interested women are welcome.

Woodworkers club

The Brown County Woodworkers Club will meet Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Brown County Public Library, 205 Locust Lane.

Herman Bueno from Marc Adams School of Woodworking will demonstrate “chip carving.”

Genealogical society

The Brown County Genealogical Society will have its annual membership meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at the library. Agenda includes election of a board member, discussing ideas for upcoming meetings, sharing of research successes and “brick walls.”

Cemetery preservation

The Brown County Cemetery Preservation Society meets the second Tuesday of each month. The next meeting will be in the archives room at the Brown County History Center, 90 E. Gould St., Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 4:15 p.m. The society is a committee of the Peaceful Valley Heritage group. All are welcome.

Peaceful Valley Heritage

Peaceful Valley Heritage Inc., a preservation group, meets the second Tuesday of each month. The next meeting will be at the Brown County Community Foundation building, 209 N. Van Buren St., on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.

Herb society

The Brown County Herb Society meets the third Monday of each month. The club will meet in the lower level at the Brown County Public Library on Monday, Jan. 20 at 3 p.m. All are welcome to join.
