The Brown County Community Foundation has started a fund to help respond to emergency needs, and challenged the community to donate at least $10,000.

The BCCF created the Brown County Rapid Response Fund last week and seeded it with $10,000. As of March 25, the community had already donated more than $3,000, said CEO Maddison Miller.

Donations to this fund will assist local social service agencies, healthcare organizations, food service organizations and emergency responders to address needs like personal protective gear, equipment or supplies; support for communications or public awareness campaigns; and funding for other operational and emergency needs.

Donations can be made at browncountygives.org.
