Motorcycle rider injured in Peoga Road crash

PEOGA — A 29-year-old Bargersville woman was injured after crashing her motorcycle while riding on Peoga Road Aug. 9.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Gibson responded to the crash near Fletcher Lane just before 12:30 p.m. The driver, Sarah Bain, said she may have broken her ankle. She was being treated by firefighters when Gibson arrived. He reported that Bain had road rash on her left side along with the ankle injury.

A witness to the crash directly behind Bain said he watched her crest a hill, then go off the edge of the road.

Gibson wrote in his accident report that when Bain went around a curve, she went off the edge. The edge of the road was wet and muddy, causing her motorcycle to slide out from underneath her, Gibson reported. He added that Bain was a new motorcycle driver and was not driving fast at the time of the crash.

The weight of the bike landed on Bain’s ankle. she was taken to the hospital by EMS. She was wearing a helmet.
