A perfect day of giving and receiving — attend the Chocolate Walk and give your support to homeless dogs and cats and simultaneously receive some of the best chocolate treats Nashville has to offer!

This year the Chocolate Walk will be on Saturday, Nov. 14 and thanks to 31 awesome shops and restaurants in Nashville, chocolate walk ticketholders will stroll through town sampling chocolate treats at each stop and enjoying a fun day with friends and family all to benefit the Brown County Humane Society.

Tickets for this year’s Chocolate Walk are available at the Visitors Center and online at bchumane.org. They are $25 through Oct. 31 and then $30 in November. This year, 1,250 tickets will be sold. Tickets normally sell out a few weeks before the event, so don’t wait until the last minute to get yours.

The beauty of the Chocolate Walk is that it benefits both county businesses and the humane society. The shops are chosen so that they are spread all across town; therefore, visitors get to places they may not ordinarily happen upon. Participating shops generously donate their time and supplies to create delectable chocolate treats in support of homeless pets. In return, the shops are guaranteed that over a thousand people will come through their doors on a normally not-so-busy day.

This is the 13th year for the Chocolate Walk and it has become a tradition with many attendees. There are several out-of-town groups that make this an annual outing, spending the entire weekend in the county, thus generating income throughout the community.

All proceeds from this event go directly to care for the over 700 dogs and cats that come to the shelter each year. The Chocolate Walk is an essential part of the animal shelter’s revenue and generates enough to cover the cost of running the shelter for approximately one month.

Bring your friends and family and come join us for a guilt-free day of strolling through the Village of Nashville while savoring the most delicious chocolates in town. With each chocolate you enjoy, you are helping a shelter pet!
