Socks, jeans, hats and shoes for family members who don’t have enough. New masks for themselves. Those are some of the uniquely 2020 items that local first-graders asked Santa to bring them this year.
But, as always, they’re still dreaming big. Robots, ponies, cars, helicopters and a unicorn are also on their lists.
The Brown County Democrat asks all Brown County first-grade teachers to make letters to Santa one of their classroom activities each year.
Inside this section, in their own words, you’ll learn all about the students’ families and pets, how they feel about their previous gifts, their curiosities about life at the North Pole, and of course, what they’d like to see under their trees this year.
We present these letters un-spelling-corrected as a keepsake for kids to look back on later in life. And, you’ve got to admit, they’re much cuter to read this way.
