TOWN NEWS: Town council still needs volunteers for boards

0

The Nashville Town Council has received some applications for board and committee members for 2021, but not enough to fill all available seats yet. Instead of making appointments at the Dec. 17 meeting, the council decided to revisit the subject at the Dec. 30 meeting in hopes that more people apply.

The boards that have spots up for appointment or reappointment in 2021 are:

  • Nashville Development Review Commission
  • Nashville Redevelopment Commission (must be town resident)
  • Nashville Tree Board
  • Nashville Municipal Utility Service Board (must be town utilities customer)
  • Brown County Animal Control Commission
  • Brown County Alcoholic Beverage Commission
  • Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals
  • Nashville Parking and Public Facilities Development Corporation (also known as food and beverage commission)
  • Nashville Arts & Entertainment Commission

To apply, fill out an expression of interest form, which can be downloaded from townofnashville.org/town-council. Return it to Town Hall or by email to [email protected] before the next meeting, which starts at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30.

More information, including the names of current members and their years of service, can be found at townofnashville.org under the “boards and commissions” tab.
