A 51-year-old Ellettsville man was treated at the scene of a crash on March 21 after the motorcycle he was driving struck a vehicle on Salt Creek Road.

The crash happened just after 2 p.m. in the 900 block, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Bowling.

Mackenzie Kopp, 26, of Beech Grove, told Bowling she was driving north on Salt Creek Road in her 2016 Nissaon SUV and went around a blind curve. The left front side of her car was struck by a motorcycle, the report states.

The motorcycle driver, Arthur Hanson, was riding south on Salt Creek Road and said that before the impact happened, he struck something on the road. Hanson said he did not lose control of the motorcycle, but then struck Kopp’s vehicle, according to the report.

Kopp was not injured. Hanson was treated at the scene for complaint of pain in the area of his knee/lower leg/foot, the report states.

His motorcycle was towed. Hanson was not wearing a helmet, the report said.
