A 52-year-old Fountaintown woman was checked out at the scene of a July 5 crash after she struck a deer while driving on State Road 46 West.
Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Kyle Minor responded just before 2 a.m. near Cowboy Way, according to the accident report.
Angela Spears told Minor she was driving west when a deer ran across the road. She struck the deer, causing significant damage to the front end of her vehicle, the report states.
Spears said she hit her head and had a headache. She was checked out by EMS, but was not taken to a hospital.
Her vehicle was towed due to the damage. It was marked “unknown” if Spears was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
