CONSERVANCY DISTRICT, BROWN COUNTY, INDIANA PROPOSED DISTRICT
METERING PROJECT

The CORDRY-SWEETWATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT (CSCD), BROWN COUNTY, INDIANA, requests quotes for the PROPOSED DISTRICT METERING PROJECT. Quotes shall be submitted to the CSCD Office, by NOON, local time, on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Please find project requirements in the attached Project Manual.

The project includes installation of 12 water meters on existing 6” PVC water mains. The work to be performed and the quote to be submitted shall include sufficient and proper sums for all general construction, mechanical installation, labor, materials, permits, licenses, insurance, and so forth incidental and required for construction of the facilities.
A Bid Bond is not required for this project. Performance and Payment Bonds for the full contract amount are required for this project. The Contractor must provide an Affidavit of Release of Lien with each pay application.

Contractor Insurance
Requirements
Contractor shall provide Comprehensive General Liability Insurance, minimum Single Limit Liability of $1,000,000, with endorsements required for the following: Bodily Injury, Property Damage Liability, Manufacturers and Contractors Liability, Contractors Protective Liability, Owners Protective Liability, Contractual Liability, Automobile Liability on owned and non-owned equipment. All insurance shall be written in the so-called comprehensive for policy providing automatic coverage for any changes in exposure during the term of the contract. Workmen’s Compensation Insurance shall comply with State and Federal Statutory Requirements.

The Issuing Office for the Project Documents is: Curry & Associates, Inc., 110 Commerce Drive, Danville, Indiana 46122, Phone 317-745-6995. Prospective Contractors may examine the Project Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and may obtain copies of the Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

Paper copies of the Project Documents may be obtained from Document Corp. located at 2435 Xenium Lane North, Plymouth, MN 55441 (763.475.9600 or visit www.docunetworks.com.) for a fee of $100.00 for each set. All payments and costs of documents are non-refundable.
Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Project Documents via delivery service. The date that the Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Project Documents. Partial sets of Project Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Contractors shall assure that they have obtained complete set of specifications and Contract Documents and shall assume the risk of any errors or omissions in bids prepared in reliance on incomplete sets of specifications and Contract Documents.
Quote shall be submitted on the attached Quote Form, and shall include the Itemized Proposal for Quotation.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any quote, or all quotes, or to accept any quote or quotes, or to make such combination of quotes as may seem desirable, and to waive any and all informalities.
Any quote may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled time for receiving quotes.
Any quote received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No quote may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of quotes for at least 60 days.

The Brown County Soil and Water Conservation District invites the public to participate in its annual locally led working group meeting.

The meeting will be held via Zoom at 12 p.m. Sept. 2, 2021.

Local Working Groups are composed of agricultural producers, owners/operators of nonindustrial private forest land, professionals representing agricultural and natural resource interests, and individuals representing a variety of disciplines in the soil, water, wetland, plant, forestry and wildlife sciences who are familiar with agricultural and natural resource issues in the local community.

The purpose of the group is to provide input on the wide range of natural resource and agricultural resource concerns for Brown County.

Interested participants are encouraged to visit browncountyswcd.com to fill out a ranking sheet and submit online. The ranking sheet will have categories with resource concerns for each category. Top 10 concerns will be ranked from 1 to 10 with 1 being the most important concern.
