NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS
OF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Brown County Schools (the “School Corporation”) that the Board of School Trustees (the “Board”) of the School Corporation will meet at Brown County High School, Nashville, Indiana, at the hour of 6:00 p.m. (Local Time) on September 16, 2021, to consider the following additional appropriation which the Board considers necessary to meet the need existing at this time:
An appropriation in the amount not to exceed $8,000,000, plus investment earnings thereon, on account of the of (i) the renovation of and improvements to Brown County High School, including HVAC improvements, site improvements and the purchase of equipment and technology (the “High School Project”) and (ii) the renovation of and improvements to school facilities across the district, including site improvements and the purchase of equipment and technology (the “General Maintenance Project” and together with the High School Project, the “Projects”) in the School Corporation, including the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with the Project. The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the sale of real estate to the Brown County Multischool Building Corporation.
The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy, and a need for such appropriation exists by reason of the inadequacy of the present buildings to provide necessary school facilities.
Taxpayers of the School Corporation appearing at the meeting shall have the right to be heard in respect to the additional appropriation.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Brown County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed proposals for the services listed below at the Brown County Assessor’s Office, 201 Locust Lane, 1st Flr., P.O. Box 351 Nashville, IN 47448 until 4 P.M. EDT on September 15, 2021. The sealed proposals will be opened by the Brown County Assessor at 8 A.M. on September 16, 2021, in the Brown County Assessor’s Office, Nashville, IN 47448.
Pursuant to Ind. Code §§ 6-1.1-4-4.5 & 18.5, the Brown County Assessor will contract for a Professional Appraiser to act as technical advisor regarding real property reassessment, and all other services as described in the specifications. The Professional Appraiser must be either an individual who is certified under Ind. Code § 6-1.1-35.5 & 50 lAC 15-4 as a Level III assessor-appraiser or a firm whose resident supervisor(s) is certified as a Level III assessor-appraiser.
Specifications for this professional services project, which describe the services to be provided and other terms and conditions are available at the Office of the Brown County Assessor.
In comparing proposals, consideration will not be confined to price only. The successful proposal will be the one that is judged to best serve the interests of the Brown County Assessor, when price, product, quality, and delivery are considered. It shall be the Submitter’s responsibility to carefully examine each item of the specifications. Any proposal not in substantial compliance with the proposal specifications will be rejected.
The Assessor reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the proposals. All submitters are strictly prohibited from making contact with the any employee, agent, or elected, or appointed official of the county in an attempt to influence the Assessor’s decision. All proposals may be held for a period not to exceed 60 days before the contract is awarded, during which time no bid may be withdrawn.
