Notice is hereby given that the Brown County Commissioners/Highway Department, Brown County, Indiana, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, will be accepting sealed bid proposals on the following items:
2021 Roadway Improvements – Hot Mix Asphalt Paving – “Local funded Projects”
Specifications/Bid Documents may be obtained from the Highway Department at 711 Greasy Creek Rd., Nashville, IN
Bids must be submitted no later than October 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. to the office of the Brown County Auditor, County Office Building, 201 Locust Lane, Nashville, Indiana 47448. Bids will be opened and read on October 6, 2021 during a scheduled Commissioners meeting which starts at 2 P.M. Bids shall be submitted on the forms in the Specifications, along with the Non-Collusion Affidavit. A bid bond or certified check (10% of total bid) shall accompany each Bid. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the County Highway and display the name of the Contractor and marked as “2021 Roadway Improvements Bid – Local”. The successful bidder(s) shall furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount with an approved surety company with the contracts. Said bonds to remain in full force and effect for a period of 90 days after the date of final acceptance of the work by the County.
It is anticipated that due to construction season limitations, if a bid is received which meets the specifications and budget of the County, a Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder on October 6, 2021, with pending contract approval from the County. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to accept any Proposal and to waive any and all informalities in the bid process.
