Lee and Lois Waltman are celebrating 65 years of marriage this week.

They married on Sept. 30, 1956 in the Nashville Christian Church by the Rev. Ed Simon.

The best man was Bill Bond and the maid of honor was Rosalie Rose.

The couple met when Lee was working as an operator for the telephone company and Lois (Percifield) was working as an operator for the same company.

They have four children; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Lee and Lois live on Oak Grove Road.
