High school homecoming: Royalty crowned as Eagles fall against Edgewood

Homecoming crowns were handed out and basketballs hit the court throughout the evening of Brown County High School homecoming on Jan. 7.

Crowds gathered in the Larry C. Banks Memorial Gymnasium to watch the boys and girls Eagles basketball teams face off against the Edgewood Mustangs.

Before the start of the boys varsity basketball game, the high school’s homecoming court all received their crowns and sashes. Smiles and hugs were abundant as the winners were announced for homecoming king, queen, princess and prince.

Sophomores Ava Kelly and Clay Austin were named the princess and prince. In Austin’s place accepting the title was Phillipe Medina to escort Kelly.

Seniors Rhett Silbaugh and Christy Sebastian were crowned king and queen.

The Lady Eagles kicked off the homecoming evening. They lost to Edgewood with a final score of 20-48.

Concluding the evening was the boys varsity basketball game. The Eagles lost that game against Edgewood with a final score of 36-79.
