Richard W. Rosebrock

Richard W. Rosebrock, age 58 of Brown County, passed away all too soon on Thursday evening,
Feb. 24, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 14, 1963 in Franklin, to his parents, Wayne and Merirose (Covert) Rosebrock. Richard was a 1981 graduate of Brown County High School and was employed as an Account Manager for ERMCO, Inc. in Indianapolis for the past five years. Prior to that, he was the owner and operator of Rosebrock Incorporated (Electrical Contractor) for over 26 years.

Richard was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 481 out of Indianapolis, where he was the recipient of the “Apprentice of the Year Award” in 1989 after his four year apprenticeship. Richard was also a member of the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department and was a Reserve Deputy for the Brown County Sherriff’s Department.

Richard’s family often referred to him as a squirrel, meaning he was always on the move, either by helping one in need, working on his Jeep or on his family farm. Richard enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed writing songs and poetry. His true passion was his love for his family, especially his grandchildren and caring for his dog, Aspen.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Gina (Hodge) Rosebrock, whom he married on July 18, 1982 in Fairland. He is also survived by his parents, Wayne and Merirose Rosebrock of Brown County; children, Danielle (Chris) Ainsworth of Brown County, Hailey (Michael) Taylor of Poca, West Virginia, Joshua (fiancé, Jessica) Rosebrock, Taylor Rosebrock and Jordan (Kevin) McDaniel all of Brown County; brother, David (Deb) Rosebrock of Brown County; eleven grandchildren and a nephew, Austin Rosebrock of Brown County.

The Rev. Darrel Miller will conduct a funeral service on Wednesday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Needmore Cemetery in Brown County.
