Ian Michael MacLeod

Ian Michael MacLeod, age 68 of Riverview, Florida and formerly of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 16 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital South in Riverview, Florida after suffering from a massive heart attack.
Ian was born Jan. 19, 1954 in Seymour to his parents John C. and Norma Jean (Ulery) MacLeod when his father was a reporter for the Seymour Tribune. Ian was a graduate of Bloomington South High School and decided to avoid college. He worked at various jobs around the United States and settled years later in Riverview, Florida. He suffered a brain aneurysm in 1998 and after months of physical and mental recovery, entered Hillsborough Community College where he received two associate degrees. He later graduated from the University of Tampa with a bachelors degree with honors in electronic media, arts and technology.
He is survived by his mother Norma Jean MacLeod of Brown County; wife, Anita MacLeod of Florida and best friend Derek Bryant of Denver Colorado.
Ian was preceded in death by his father John C. MacLeod and grandfather, Norman Vincent Ulery, who was the Brown County illustrator and modern painter.
Ian was laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Nashville and was placed between his parents on Thursday, April 14. A Remembrance of Ian may be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
