Ronald Wayne Williamson

Ronald Wayne Williamson, 61, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 2:20 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022, at his home.
Ron was born in Columbus, Feb. 18, 1961, the loving son of Robert Dale Williamson and Nancy J. Himes Williamson VanAntwerp.
Ron was a machinist in the manufacturing industry for 40 years.
Ron will be remembered as a prankster, Cincinnati Reds fan, fisherman, squirrel and mushroom hunter, and a NASCAR fan. Ron had a passion for cooking and started cooking at his grandmother’s restaurant. He was the creator of Ron’s “World Famous” meatballs and his “Fabulous” hotdog pizza. Ron was a lifelong learner, loved to read, and enjoyed music. Ron was larger than life and he lived life to the fullest. Ron was the proud owner of his large Chuck Taylors Converse shoe collection.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Amber Williamson of Elkhart, Indiana; stepdaughter, Kristen Lavere of Brown County; grandchildren, Skylar Preston of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Cayden Cecil of Brown County; his companion, Lora Couch of Brown County; sister, Renea (James) Summers of Columbus; brother, Matt “Grasshopper” Gerth of Hope; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (DJ) Wilson, Justus Kee, and Eden Kee; and great-nephews, Jaykob Summers, Nykolas Summers, Bentley Wilson, and Carter Wilson.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dale Williamson; mother, Nancy J. VanAntwerp; and his sister, Rhea Altman.
In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation will take place. Services are not planned at this time.
