Indian Creek 152, Brown County 180, Mooresville Christian Academy 312
Coach’s comments: We had an enjoyable and successful trip to Bluff Creek Golf Course May 24 in a three way match with Indian Creek High School and the host school, Mooresville Christian Academy. We had never been to Bluff Creek before, and none of our players had ever played the course on their own, so it was nice for us to see a new course. The 180 we recorded was our lowest nine hole score of the season. Our players found the wide fairways, nice sized greens and relatively short yardage set-up to their liking. Our senior leader Cooper VanNess had a big day. First, he broke 40 for the first time in his high school career with a 39 and, second, he was able to witness a truly terrific round of golf from one of his competitors. Indian Creek senior Braxton Christie fired a 29, establishing a new Indian Creek High School nine hole scoring record and leading his team to a very impressive score of 152. In addition to Cooper’s personal best, freshman Wesley Arndt also had his best round of the season with a 46. Other scores for us: Kody Walsh 46, Eli Sichting 49, Clay Austin 53, Bradley Arndt 53, Jordan Burnett 55 and Liam Cassiday 56.
