The community came together to watch fireworks light up the sky in Nashville this past weekend.
On July 3 residents grabbed their blankets and chairs before heading down to watch the annual Brown County Lions Club Fourth of July fireworks show at the Brown County High School football field, its usual spot.
The Lions Club puts on the show each year, free of charge to the community. Donations are welcome to help cover the cost of the fireworks for next year.
Patriotism ran high, seen in Old Glory T-shirts and glittery star-spangled cowboy hats. The Boy Scouts of America Troop 190 were there in their usual spot at the top of the hill near the Brown County Schools administration building serving up snacks and cold drinks before the show began.
Onlookers enjoyed the show on the hill at the school administration building, the Brown County Highway Department parking lot, the 4-H Fairgrounds and the Brown County IGA parking lot.
The grand finale garnered applause and cheers from the vast audience, a dazzling spectacle of red, white and blue bursts in the air.
