Stats

No. 2 singles: Jayden Kemp (BNL) d. Jon Kirchoffer (BC) 6-0, 6-0

No. d doubles: Gavin Baker, Isaac Bridges (BNL) d. Owen East, Sawyer Gore (BC) 6-1, 6-2

Coach’s comments: The Eagles were defeated by the Stars of Bedford North Lawrence by the score of 0-5. The Eagles were shorthanded once again, but put up an aggressive fight. Junior Jack Sichting won two games and was in all of his games. He continues to improve and his attitude has been great. At No. 2 singles, junior Jon Kirchoffer tried his hand at singles after playing doubles for most of his career. He struggled with the consistency of the singles game, but showed steady improvement as his match progressed. The new doubles duo of sophomore Owen East and junior Sawyer Gore took three games at No. 1 doubles. I continue to be excited to watch both of these players as the play. I love watching their confidence in trying to get better each match. Next match for the Eagles will be the Makurat Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 27.
