Friday night lights shone a bit brighter in the reflection of crowns given to Brown County High School royalty at the homecoming football game this weekend.

Crowns and sashes were adorned to students during halftime at the game, where the Eagles fell to the West Vigo Vikings 12-41.

Seniors Ethan Spiece and Xyleigh Thompson were named king and queen by their classmates.

Freshman PJ McMasters and sophomore Ella Schultz were named prince and princess.

Before the game, a block party was held at the high school with activities galore, including a color war on the practice field and the “All-American Pie Eating Contest.”

The winner was BCHS junior Charlie Webb, who won the opportunity to throw a pie in the face of BCHS Principal Trent Austin at halftime.
