OCTOBER IN BROWN: Fall fun continues in county

Friendly Forest

The Jackson Township Fire Department, 4831 Helmsburg Road, will host its annual Friendly Forest from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28 and 29.

Kids of all ages are invited to trick-or-treat through the Halloween attraction.

Admission is $1 per child and adults are free with a paying child.

Family Halloween party

Healing Hearts and Memory Making, 173 S. Van Buren St., will host a Family Halloween Party on Thursday, Oct. 27 6 to 8 p.m.

Group and individual games and craft stations, as well as refreshments and snacks will be available.

The registration fee is $10 for one to two children, $15 for three to four children and additional children are $3 each.

Haunted forest

NINEVEH — Cordry-Sweetwater Volunteer Fire Department, 6700 Sunset Drive, will host a Haunted Forest on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28 and 29 from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Visitors can take a hayride to a 1/4 mile long haunted trail.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the Sweetwater Lake Shelter House.

Blue Lady Bash

STORY — Story Inn, 6404 State Road 135 South, will host their Blue Lady Bash on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 9 p.m. to midnight.

A costume contest and pumpkin carving contest will take place in the tavern.

Safe Trick or Treat

HAMBLEN TWP. — Sprunica Baptist Church, 3902 Sprunica Road, will host “Safe Trick or Treat” from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30.

All are invited to dress in a costume and enjoy games, free snacks and candy, hot chocolate and a bounce house.

Halloween in Nashville

Several Halloween events will take place on Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31, in Nashville.

Trick-or-Treat will happen from 5 to 7 p.m. in Downtown Nashville and at the YMCA, 105 Willow St.

Trick or Treat on the Trail will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Kids can walk the Salt Creek Trail and collect goodies.

Zombie face painting will be available from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Brown County Visitors Center, 211 S. Van Buren St.

Trunk-or-Treat is planned from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nashville Christian Church, 160 S. Van Buren St.

A pet costume contest will take place at 6 p.m. at Polly’s Bark Park, 96 Pat Reilly Drive.

A Halloween Parade will travel through Downtown Nashville at 7:30 p.m.
