BCCF to host nonprofit education series

The Brown County Community Foundation (BCCF) continues to lead the charge of bringing together area nonprofits to learn and build collaboration with their Organizations for Nonprofit Excellence (ONE) program.

ONE began with a goal to enrich the skills of local nonprofits. After surveying area nonprofits in the fall of 2021, BCCF board and committee members continue to build classes and networking sessions to create a stronger nonprofit network in Brown County.

As an incentive for area nonprofits to attend these courses, BCCF has created an opportunity to benefit a nonprofit that takes advantage of the educational courses. Attendees of at least three of four of the educational offerings from ONE will be entered in a drawing for a $1,000 grant to their nonprofit organization.

Class dates for 2023 are April 18, May 16 and July 12.

The first educational offering from ONE was Winning the Grant: An Insider’s View from Brown County Grantors on Feb. 21. Participants learned about grant opportunities in Brown County from grantors BCCF, Duke, SCI REMC and MIBOR.

The remaining educational events include How to Improve Board Engagement and Energize Your Team on April 18, How to Attract and Retain a Great Board on May 16, and a Donor Panel on July 12. To sign up for these events, visit browncountygives.org/one. Space is limited.

The Brown County Community Foundation has the best interests of the community at heart. By supporting charitable organizations in broad areas of community need — education, social services, housing, health care, arts and humanities, and the environment — we help build a stronger, healthier Brown County.
