Summary: Max Blandford won medalist honors with a 1-under-par 35 to lead Edinburgh to a tri-match win at Timbergate.

Mason Calhoun carded a 43 for Edinburgh. Wyatt Burton added a 45, Devyn Milburn and Keegan Smith each shot 50, Gabe Bennett had a 52, DJ Riddle finished with a 58 and Trenton Schmidt had a 59.

Clay Austin led the Eagles with a 45. Wesley Arndt carded a 47, Bradley Arndt added a 48. Liam Cassiday shot 55 and Jon Kirchhofer had a 67.

April 27

Brown County 171, Southwestern 249

Summary: Brown County posted its best score of the season and was 24 shots better than on the same Timbergate course three days earlier, in a 171-249 win against Southwestern (Shelby).

Clay Austin and Liam Cassiday won co-medalist honors with 41s. Bradley Arndt carded a 43, Wesley Arndt added a 46, Jon Kirchhofer shot 54 and Will Hiatt had a 67.

Softball

April 24

Brown County vs. Franklin

Summary: Franklin scored at least three runs in all five innings in handing Brown County a 20-3 defeat.

Taylor Poling hit a two-run home run for the Eagles (2-7).

April 26

Brown County vs. Sullivan

Summary:Class 2A No. 8 Sullivan held Brown County to two hits in a 9-3 Western Indiana Conference decision.

Savannah Oden and Ava Stogsdill had singles for the Eagles (2-8, 1-4).

April 27

Brown County vs. Bloomington South

Summary: Brown County took a 13-1 loss at Bloomington South.

The Eagles fell to 2-9.

Baseball

April 26

Brown County vs. Sullivan

Summary: Sullivan scored six times in the second inning and went on to post a 12-2, five-inning WIC win against Brown County.

Four different players had a hit for the Eagles (2-9, 1-5), with Noah Lewis smacking a double.

May 3

Summary: Columbus Christian jumped out to a 13-0 lead and went on to post a 17-7 win at Brown County.

Logan Weis went 2 for 3 for the Eagles (3-12). Cody Watson had four RBIs.

Girls Tennis

April 25

Seymour 4, Brown County 1

Summary: Brown County won at No. 3 singles, but Seymour took the other four matches to claim a 4-1 victory.

Julia Burt beat Claire Combs 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 singles for the Eagles (9-4).

Brown County’s Anna Stogsdill fell to Brooke Schafstall 6-1, 3-6, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and Anna Tipton lost to Elise Hartung 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. Katie Tipton and Londyn Koester fell to Jessica Houghland and Caroline Thompson 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles, and Ava Kelly and Cady Kemp lost to Addison Hunsley and Ava Sunbury 7-6 (6), 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.

Summary: Brown County dropped only four games in the five matches in rolling to a 5-0 Western Indiana Conference win at Owen Valley.

Anna Stogsdill beat Alyeska Ranard at No. 1 singles, and Julia Burt topped Maddi Dill at No. 3 singles, both by 6-1, 6-0 scores for the Eagles (10-4, 4-0). Anna Tipton defeated Kailey Sanders 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
