Lorena Mae Clark, 81, of Columbus, passed from this life at 8:59 a.m., Monday, August 7, 2023, surrounded by family at her home.

Mae was born August 17, 1941, in Bloomington, the daughter of Charles T. and Alice Virginia Galyan Mathis.

She retired as an accountant from Adiabatics Inc.

She was a member of Dowell Hill Church of Christ; she enjoyed horseback riding and had a love for all animals and enjoyed rescuing them.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Anna Belle and Amelia Clark; step grandson, Braden Slaughter; brother, William (Margaret) Mathis of Columbus; six nieces and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Adam Clark and a brother, Arthur Eugene Mathis.

The funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Larry Abram officiating.

A time of visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to time of service.

She will be laid to rest in the Garland Brook Cemetery.
