ART BRIEFS: Children’s Art Camp, Exhibits at art guild, Upcoming events at the music center

Art Walk

Ten local art galleries will host the Art Walk on Friday, Aug. 25, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in downtown Nashville.

Artists will be present to discuss their work; many galleries serve refreshments or feature special events. The Art Walk is free.

Tri Kappas Love Art

Brown County Zeta Phi Chapter of Tri Kappa will be featured in an exhibit, “Tri Kappas Love Art”, on September 22nd &23rd at the Brown County Visitor’s Bureau. This exhibit will display art from their member’s own collections. They will be Brown County artists’ work that are not usually seen in public. Kappa, Kappa,Kappa, Inc. is an Indiana philanthropic organization whose primary goal is to serve Charity, Culture and Education. There will be hostesses present during this exhibit to share information about our organization and the many service projects they do each year. The Beta Phi Chapter has annual nut sales, cheese balls and other events to raise money to support their giving to charity, culture and education. We give the Tri Kappa Chooses You award three time a year to women who have given their efforts to help others in our community. We give three scholarships to high school seniors each year. We give donations to many organizations in our community to help them out; Mother’s Cupboard, The Art Guild, The Art Gallery, Brown County Playhouse, Silver Linings Women’s Shelter, and many more. The hours for this exhibit will be Friday, September 22nd and Saturday September 23, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
