Morgantown man charged with Felony after pursuit

MORGANTOWN – A 32-year-old Morgantown man Nathan Eisenmenger has been charged with a level 6 felony for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle.

On December 26, Sheriff’s Deputy Cody Loncaric observed a vehicle failing to signal a turn on Eagle Drive Access. According to the report, the vehicle accelerated its speed before making the turn causing the back tires to lose traction. Loncaric followed the vehicle and allegedly observed it veering into the opposite lane while completing another turn. According to the report Loncaric initiated a routine traffic stop and instructed Eisenmenger to get out of the vehicle. A man exited the passenger side later identified as Curtis Shepherd and Eisenmenger allegedly took off at an accelerated speed. According to the report, Loncaric pursued the vehicle until running off the wet road during a curve. Chief Deputy Paul Henderson, Sergeant Aaron Schonfeld, Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Dames and Officer Heath Young arrived at the scene to assist Loncaric. Sergeant William Pool later located the suspect vehicle at a driveway on Nineveh Road, Sheriff’s Deputy Zaccary Sheppard arrived and notified dispatch of the location. According to the report, the homeowner was not familiar with the vehicle and wanted it towed from his property.

Sheppard allegedly applied for a search warrant regarding the vehicle and dispatch notified him that the registered owner had sold the vehicle to Eisenmenger. According to the report, Sergeant William Pool, Sheriff’s Deputy Jeffery Dames and Officer Heath Young attempted to serve a warrant on Eisenmenger who has an active warrant out of Johnson County. They spoke with his father who allegedly told them he had heard Eisenmenfer was involved in running from the law enforcement, he also confirmed that Eisenmenger had previously purchased the vehicle.

Vehicle crashes into tree on Bear Wallow Hill Road

WASHINGTON TWP. – On May 5, Sheriff’s Deputy Zaccary Sheppard responded to a crash on Bear Wallow Hill Road north of the Greasy Creek intersection.

According to the report, Thomas Kenyon was driving when he ran off the road and crashed into a tree. Kenyon allegedly told Shepherd that he believes he fell asleep while driving, resulting in the collision.

According to the report, Kenyon received injuries to his arm and head during the crash. He was allegedly not wearing a seatbelt because it had been previously broken.

According to the report, he was checked out by medics and refused to go to the hospital for further treatment. The vehicle sustained damage to the front end and was towed from the scene.
