The band was stirring up treble at the Spring Blossom Parade

The Spring Blossom Parade went off without a hitch a week ago Saturday with the Historical Society, car clubs, political candidates, the High School band and many other floats marching in.

This year was the Lion’s Club’s 59 annual Spring Blossom Parade and the theme was a salute to Brown County characters. The Grand Marshal was Abe Martin (Brown County Lion Larry Weir dressed as him for the second time) and participants were encouraged to dress in theme as well.

The High School Band led the march throughout the center of town while everyone else followed behind. Following tradition, the band typically opens the parade and the Antique Farm Machinery group closes it with their tractors.

There were events during and after in Nashville for the entire family including games, a hog roast, hot dogs and a free concert.
